In 2023, Equinor and Havkraft started a cooperation on integrating the OceanOne solution on MODUs, with the goal of significantly reducing operational CO2 emissions and promoting sustainable development within the industry.

SVANØY HAVBRUK, NORWAY
A project with Svanøy Havbruk in Norway to deliver power from a 300 kW OceanOne low-rider powerplant to electrify a fishfarm, replacing diesel-fuels. The project is currently planned to be installed on site in 2025. The project is supported by Innovation Norway with NOK 8,7 million and loans from Sparebanken Vest.
POWERPIER ÅLESUND, NORWAY
In 2021 we installed an array of two Havkraft Wave Energy Converters (H-WEC) on an Ulsteinflåten pier, in cooperation with Ulstein Betong Marine and Marina Solutions. The project was called Powerpier. Here we demonstrated production of power to grid by delivering power to the Atlanterhavsparken aquarium in Ålesund, Norway. The project was performed in cooperation with our electro-partner Bosch. The installed capacity was 30 kW. The project was supported by Innovation Norway.
MS HAVKRAFT, NORWAY
In 2014 and 2015 we demonstrated a complete off-grid 250 kW OceanOne powerplant in an open sea-environment at the Stad ocean in Norway, surviving storms and hurricanes. This was the first large-scale demonstration of the Havkraft Wave Energy Converter (H-WEC) with power production, the core module in any OceanOne solution.
