Team Building 2025

As we are building new technology, it sometimes feels like we are climbing a steep mountain. It’s tough!

Our team proved that we can climb a literal mountain together as we climbed to the top of Mt. Hoven at 1011 meters above sea level. We made our way up via Via Ferrata Loen, a spectacular climbing trail on Norway’s western coast. Of course, safety was our main focus throughout the trip, and we were secured with wire all the way, following strict safety procedures. Our colleague Torbjørn Ruud Hagen is a passionate climber, and as he guided the team from the bottom to the top, we felt safe. A particularly nerve-wracking part of the route was crossing the Gjølmunne Bridge, the longest Via Ferrata bridge in Europe. It is 750 meters above sea level, 120 meters long and crosses a 160-metre deep gorge. As we crossed the Gjølmunne Bridge together – with only narrow cables beneath our feet and a vast gorge below, we were reminded that trust and teamwork are not primarily built in meeting rooms.

Instead, when you face fear and obstacles side by side as a team, you learn more about each other and yourself than in any regular work meeting at the office. With the support of the team and knowledgeable guidance from Torbjørn, we managed to do things we never could have imagined. We are grateful for a fearless team that climbs together – in the mountains and in the Havkraft development lab.

Can’t wait for the next cool adventures we’ll experience as a team!
