The board announces Ingvill J. Bækø as the CEO of Havkraft. Ingvill has over 22 years of experience in both the oil and gas industry and renewable energy, where she has held leadership positions at the operator companies Equinor and Aker BP, as well as at the contractor company Moreld Apply. She also has ten years of experience with projects in offshore wind, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and hydrogen, which has provided her with deep knowledge of sustainable technologies and solutions for the future.

Equinor, as a leading global energy company, is eager to explore the potential of wave power as a sustainable energy source for the industry. Therefore, Equinor has engaged Havkraft to conduct a study that will investigate the feasibility of integrating Havkraft wave energy converters (H-WEC) on MODUs, with the goal of significantly reducing operational CO2 emissions and promoting sustainable development within the industry.

Havkraft has received an offer for financing from Innovation Norway to our development of the Havkraft N-Class wave power plant. Innovation Norway has offered 8,7 MNOK in a development grant, helping to accelerate the development of the world’s premier nearshore-class wave power plant. The first Havkraft N-class will be deployed in Svanøy in Western Norway in 2024, before it is distributed to many other projects in the following years.

Havkraft agrees on a NOK 15 MILL investment from Håvard and Finn Skrogstad, securing 30 MNOK in new capital for development the last four months. The company value has for the first time passed 100 MNOK, and is increasing rapidly.

Havkraft is selected to work with several Atlantic Ports after winning an international contest hosted by the Atlantic Smart Ports Blue Acceleration Network (AspBAN) in 2022. Next event is a bootcamp between Havkraft, ports, investors and partners in Lisabon, Portugal, from January 23 to January 25 2023 where we will attend. Agreement with Svanøy Havbruk signed and published. We are looking into a potential deployment of a full-scale HAVKRAFT N-CLASS wave power plant at Svanøy Havbruk’s location at Sandkvia, close to the island of Svanøy in the municipality of Kinn, Western Norway. This marks the start of commercialization of OWC wave power plants, a technology that is going to compete with any other energy source in its market segment nearshore.
